UPDATE - Grammy reporter's on-air gibberish 'hilarious'?
Remember reporter Serene Branson and her Grammy's report gone wrong? Here she is being shown the footage from that night, explaining what happened and how she feels about the coverage it got.

You should already know that she lied about it giving you hairy palms and making you go blind, but Cracked have a list of 5 other body myths you might still foolishly believe in.
One from the list that has always puzzled me is the "shaving will make it grow back twice as thick", which seems to have encouraged many teenage boys to scrape away at their face every day in a futile effort to boost their facial topiary potential.
I was told the same lie but it was as a reason not to shave. This meant I went through large chunks of my teenage years with whispy bum fluff attached to my chin that I wasn't being allowed to remove!
I don't think this was malicious on my family's part. Instead I believe that that they believed it, and somehow thought it would be worse for me to grow a full man-beard at a young age.
Anyway... read up on this myth and 4 more over at Cracked.

'Darth Vader vs Hitler. Epic Rap Battles of History 2' seems like an amusing contest until you realise that there's a guy pretending to be Adolf Hitler, rapping for comedic effect. It gets worse when MC Hitler throws in a joke about showers. I always thought of the Empire and Vader being a Nazi analogy so this really made me uncomfortable, even if Vader does give a little pro-Jewish shout out.

The word "stroke" was quick to rise in my own thoughts and in the thoughts of the internet community. Serene has since been given the all clear which is why I feel I could now share the video, not to mock her but to celebrate her being okay.

Once you've finished drying your eyes, and before you go searching in the cupboard under the stairs for your old Mega Drive, you might want to have a listen to the full version of the song being played at the end - The Mountain Goat's 'Thank You Mario! But Our Princess Is In Another Castle!'.
Most of you reading this will have had a series of games consoles throughout your life, but do you ever stop to think about your first and the moments you shared together?

Currently at 1.9 million views after 36 hours, it is the 2nd most viewed YouTube video of the day - an honour normally reserved for those titanic viral videos that have been passed around the internet for several months and are reaching maximum saturation (like 'Charlie Bit My Finger' with it's 279 million views).
The internet is hungry for this film. The fans are expecting it to be terrible but is this just because they've been hurt before? I'm looking at you X3 and Wolverine. The trailer looks like it has potential and with the talent involved it seems hard to believe they could miss. We won't know until the film hits cinemas on June 3rd (or torrent sites several weeks earlier).

Tim Minchin is a fantastically skilled musical comedian and this is perhaps his finest work. An epic nine minute beat poem, recounting a dinner party experience that may be familiar to any of a sceptical persuasion.

You're probably also wondering why on earth a family holiday camp would use this to try and attract visitors? Well, it took me a few viewings to realise that of course it's Ludo the dinosaur who is feeling blue after his little friend finishes his holiday. They had so many great times together but now they are all gone... until the next kid turns up.
The song is 'Dust in the Wind' by Kansas and you can watch the full version used in the advert here but for me this song is forever associated with one highly emotional movie moment... You're my boy Blue!You're my boy.

Julia Nunes is awesome
Julia Nunes is awesome.
You should already know this... but if you don't, then you can apologise by watching this video of her stunningly beautiful cover of John Legend's 'It Don't Have To Change':
See? I told you she's awesome.
I've been watching her videos for years and I'm totally in love with her. After Molly Ringwald - yes the actress from those awesome 80s movies - saw one of Julia's videos, she was inspired to learn the ukulele herself. You don't have to rush and buy a uke just yet, but you should go and watch some more of Julia's videos.

Star Wars superfan creates a spectacular treat of epic proportions
Only one post today but it's a big one
One man has dedicated hours to creating something truly awesome. Using deleted scenes, documentary footage, audio from interviews and anything else he could get his hands on, Jambe Davdar has recreated all three of the original Star Wars films.
If you are a Star Wars geek this is an absolute must see, if you're not you should still watch it anyway as it is superb.

It's a Belgian TV channel advertising the American TV shows they have and it looks like a pretty good line up:

One of his fans, Jarrett Heather, decided that a suitably amazing video was needed to accompany his song "Shop Vac". Jarrett therefore spent a ridiculous amount of time and did indeed produce a video of outstanding quality.
